Translate strategic priorities into measurable goals, action plans, milestones, KPIs, and accountability frameworks that improve decision-making and execution across the TA.

Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner on portfolio, organizational, capability, and investment decisions.

Turn complex or unstructured business, scientific, and operational issues into clear action plans, cross-functional initiatives, and decision-ready deliverables.

Operationalize portfolio governance and planning

  • Partner with scientific and portfolio leaders to surface risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, and resource requirements while supporting informed and timely decision-making.
  • Promote accountability for implementation of governance decisions and strategic priorities across the organization.

Advance technology, AI, innovation, and capability development

Coordinate TA-level technology, AI, computational, and innovation initiatives that strengthen research strategy, portfolio execution, and scientific decision-making.

Partner with scientific leaders to identify capability gaps, evaluate innovation opportunities, and encourage adoption of emerging technologies and best practices.

Leverage AI-enabled tools and operational systems to improve portfolio management, project reviews, knowledge synthesis, decision support, and operating efficiency.

Support external collaborations by helping track scientific progress, milestones, budgets, risks, and decision points in partnership with scientific and business stakeholders.

Enhancing organizational effectiveness and culture

Drive leadership team effectiveness, operating cadence, and cross-functional alignment across the Inflammation TA.

Lead high-priority special projects involving organizational design, talent strategy, capability building, change management, and operational improvement.

Contribute to a strong scientific culture by supporting planning offsites, seminar series, topical symposia, training, staff profiles, mentoring connections, and other engagement mechanisms.

Establish practical processes, tools, and ways of working that improve transparency, accountability, learning, and execution across the TA.

Lead business operations and executive communications

Coordinate budgeting, resource planning, headcount management, and scenario analyses in partnership with Finance, HR, Research Operations, and TA leadership.

Coordinate talent management processes, including hiring, promotions, workforce planning, and related personnel actions.

Develop executive-level presentations, business reviews, strategic communications, governance materials, portfolio reviews, and leadership updates.
