We are looking for a
Senior Manager of Engineering to build, scale, and lead the software development organization. This is a people-first, execution-focused leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, delivery ownership, and responsible AI-first development.
The role- Build and lead a high-performing software development organization across multiple teams
- Hire, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent; establish clear career paths and expectations
- Coach engineering managers and technical leads to scale leadership and accountability
- Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
- Own software delivery outcomes: predictability, quality, and velocity
- Establish and evolve development processes that scale with the organization
- Ensure teams execute independently while aligning to shared standards and priorities
- Drive clarity around ownership, dependencies, and delivery commitments
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and operational readiness
- Ensure software is reliable, observable, and supportable in production
- Partner with Architecture to align implementation with platform standards and long-term direction
- Collaborate with Product leadership to shape how we build the engine that powers our AI digital workers
- Lead incident response from an execution and learning perspective
- Champion AI-first development practices across the software lifecycle, including coding, testing, documentation, and operations
- Define and enforce guardrails for safe, ethical, and compliant use of AI in development workflows
- Partner with Architecture, Security, and Legal to ensure AI-enabled workflows meet enterprise and regulatory expectations
- Promote transparency, auditability, and human oversight in AI-assisted workflows
Must have criteria- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles
- Proven track record building and scaling software development teams and managers
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and team structures
- Direct experience leading multiple teams in parallel
- Demonstrated ability to operate across strategic planning and day-to-day execution
Should have criteria- Experience establishing engineering standards across code quality, testing, documentation, and operational readiness
- Hands-on background in incident response, post-mortems, and reliability practices
- Experience partnering with Product and Architecture leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Track record driving delivery predictability and velocity improvements at scale
Preferable criteria- Experience leading engineering in an AI-native or AI-first product company
- Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks and enterprise compliance requirements
