About the Role:Wunderkind is seeking a highly technical and solutions-oriented
Senior Manager, Programmatic Technical Solutions to join our Ads organization.
This role will serve as a key technical escalation point for programmatic campaign and deal delivery, responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues across DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and Wunderkind's advertising technology.
When a campaign or deal ID isn't spending as expected, this person will own figuring out why and driving the issue through resolution.
The ideal candidate understands how programmatic transactions work end-to-end and is comfortable getting deep into campaign, platform, bidstream, and log-level data to determine where a transaction is breaking down. You'll work across advertisers, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and Wunderkind's internal Sales, Account Management, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and understands how programmatic advertising works under the hood.
This is a hybrid role based in our
New York office.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as a key technical escalation point for display, video, and Connected TV (CTV) campaigns and deal IDs that are not bidding, winning, ramping, or spending as expected.
- Deal Activation & Delivery: Troubleshoot PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed deals across deal configuration, targeting, creative approvals, pricing, inventory eligibility, CPM floors, frequency, and buyer-side setup.
- Cross-Format Campaign Troubleshooting: Diagnose campaign delivery issues across display, video, and CTV, understanding the unique technical requirements, buying workflows, creative specifications, and supply paths associated with each format.
- Proactive Bidstream Analysis: Analyze bid requests, bid responses, win rates, bid density, fill rates, CPMs, and other platform data to identify where opportunities are being lost. Proactively monitoring campaign/deal health so we're identifying delivery risk before it becomes a larger revenue issue.
- DSP & SSP Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues across the full transaction path: from advertiser and DSP through SSP/exchange, Wunderkind technology, and publisher inventory.
- Campaign Ramp: Proactively monitor newly launched and high-priority campaigns, identify technical barriers to spend, and drive actions that accelerate campaign ramp.
- Technical Partner Management: Work directly with DSPs, SSPs, agencies, publishers, and technology partners to investigate and resolve complex delivery issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Account Management, and Operations to resolve advertiser-facing issues and clearly communicate root causes, ownership, and next steps. Acting as the internal technical liaison and helping AM/Ops improve their ability to handle routine troubleshooting.
- Product & Engineering Partnership: Partner with Product and Engineering when troubleshooting identifies platform issues, integration gaps, or opportunities to improve Wunderkind's advertising technology.
- Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues and build repeatable troubleshooting frameworks, documentation, monitoring, and escalation processes that enable the broader Ads organization to resolve problems faster.
- Revenue Protection: Identify technical or operational issues that could impact campaign delivery and revenue and drive urgency around their resolution.
What We're Looking For- Technical Problem Solver: You enjoy getting into the details of a campaign and determining why something isn't working rather than simply escalating the issue.
- Programmatic Expertise: You have a strong understanding of how programmatic transactions flow across advertisers, DSPs, SSPs/exchanges, and publisher inventory.
- Analytical Mindset: You're comfortable using campaign, platform, bidstream, and log-level data to isolate the root cause of underdelivery and identify actionable solutions.
- End-to-End Thinker: You understand that a campaign delivery issue can originate anywhere in the transaction path and know how to systematically isolate where the problem exists.
- Strong Sense of Ownership: You take responsibility for an issue from identification through resolution and can coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders to get there.
- Strong Communicator: You can translate complex technical issues into clear explanations and actionable next steps for commercial teams, clients, and technical partners.
- Collaborative: You're comfortable working across Sales, Account Management, Operations, Product, Engineering, DSPs, SSPs, and publishers.
- Curious & Persistent: You're not satisfied simply knowing that something isn't working-you want to understand why it happened and how to prevent it from happening again.
