Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?The Senior Manager, Product Initiatives (Contract) is responsible for executing product initiatives that drive both client growth and portfolio growth across RBC Bank's cross-border banking and lending products. The portfolio includes deposits and credit cards. They own the execution of product initiatives by collaborating with product managers, marketing, digital, assisted channels, technology, and operations to ensure seamless and timely execution against desired end state objectives. Proactively supports execution of product innovation opportunities to drive growth of the portfolio.
What will you do?- Lead RBC Bank Product Initiatives Execution: Oversee execution of initiatives across the portfolio of RBC Bank products including deposits and credit cards.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Digital, Assisted Channels, Operations, Risk, Digital, Marketing, and Technology teams to align on shared goals and optimize experiences.
- Execute Strategic Roadmaps: Translate product vision into actionable plans with defined MVPs, hypothesis-based validation, and iterative launches, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.
- Develop Financial Business Cases: Support analysis of market insights, validate demand, engage external partners, and collaborate with marketing to assess viability and recommend enhancements.
- Own End-to-End Risk Management: Manage product initiative risk assessment while collaborating across cross-functional risk partners across Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives: Act as accountable owner for product portfolio initiatives, supporting strategic recommendations and optimizing P&L impact.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:- 5-7 years of experience in execution of product initiatives across pricing, P&L, product strategy & innovation
- Deep expertise owning and driving product initiatives that drive growth in everyday banking products such as deposit and credit cards
- Strong financial acumen to analyze revenue/cost levers and set balance growth, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Experience developing business cases and conducting risk assessments to drive prioritization and execution decisions
- Deep understanding of Canadian banking culture and cross-border client needs.
- Exceptional influence and communication skills to align stakeholders outside direct control.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
