Job SummaryThe Senior Manager, Product will lead a team of technical product owners responsible for bringing product management discipline to technology and platform teams. This role will drive the creation of scalable platform capabilities, cross-functional prioritization frameworks, and roadmap-driven delivery in partnership with technology leadership. A key mandate is the modernization of the SDLC through AI, intelligent automation, and modern engineering practices, spanning ideation through production. This position will serve as a critical bridge between technology teams and the enterprise operating model, ensuring technology-driven work is visible, governed, and strategically aligned.
Essential Job Functions- Define capability roadmaps to move from current state to scalable platform services. Build maturity models to identify gaps and guide investment. Shift from point solutions to standardized platforms with structured releases. Embed AI, automation, and agentic workflows across processes and the SDLC. - (40%)
- Ensure initiatives are submitted, prioritized, and visible across intake and planning cycles. Partner with engineering and DevOps to optimize the SDLC with automation and AI. Enforce delivery discipline with proactive management of timelines and dependencies. Drive structured feedback loops for continuous improvement. - (30%)
- Lead and develop technical product owners to translate capabilities into business value. Build cross-functional prioritization for transparent tradeoffs. Align backlogs to enterprise goals with clear outcomes. Manage tech debt as a product with defined roadmaps, visibility, and measurable impact. - (20%)
- Communicate transformation progress, adoption metrics, and SDLC outcomes to leadership. Champion AI-driven delivery, platform models, and product-led practices. Act as a change agent for new ways of working. Connect technology teams to the broader organization to ensure alignment with strategy and planning. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, or related field such as business analysis or project management.
- 3+ years leadership experience.
- 3+ years of experience working directly with or embedded within technology/engineering organizations on platform, tooling, or infrastructure products.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Information Technology, financial services, payment, or online and mobile platforms.
- Experience bringing product management discipline to technology or platform teams that historically operated without formal product ownership
- Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern engineering delivery models
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, intelligent automation, or generative AI use cases applied to engineering or operational workflows

Work Environment- Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
