Full Job Description
A growing consumer products company is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to help lead core accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage accounting execution while also improving processes, strengthening controls, and partnering cross-functionally with finance, operations, tax, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, experience leading teams, and the ability to operate in a dynamic business with multiple priorities, reporting requirements, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation
  • Support consolidated reporting and analysis across the business
  • Maintain and improve internal controls over financial processes and reporting
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
  • Research and address technical accounting matters as needed
  • Assess current accounting processes and implement improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
  • Own key general ledger and master data integrity, including chart of accounts and related financial data
  • Oversee compliance with applicable accounting, tax, statutory, and reporting requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance, tax, operations, and leadership to support business performance and strategic initiatives
  • Support audits, special projects, process automation, and system-related initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; exposure to international reporting requirements is helpful
  • Experience managing close, reporting, controls, and accounting operations
  • Prior people leadership or team management experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner across departments
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and sound professional judgment

Preferred Background
  • CPA or equivalent credential preferred
  • Experience in consumer products, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or other product-based environments
  • Exposure to ERP systems, reporting tools, system implementations, or process automation initiatives
