As a trusted advisor and strategic partner, the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner plays a critical role in shaping and executing the people strategy for select business lines within Global Wealth Management. This role partners closely with senior business leaders to drive talent outcomes, enable organizational effectiveness, and support a high-performance culture aligned with the Bank's strategic priorities.

You will collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs) and HR Services to deliver integrated, forward-thinking solutions that support business growth, talent development, and employee engagement.

  • Strategic HR Partnership
    • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals and proactively identifying talent opportunities and risks.
    • Participate in business planning sessions to embed people strategies into operational plans.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Talent Strategy & Leadership Development
    • Lead the development and execution of talent strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential identification.
    • Partner with leaders to build strong talent pipelines and support career pathing and internal mobility.
    • Coach leaders on performance management, team effectiveness, and leadership behaviors.
  • Employee Experience & Culture
    • Champion a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture by supporting initiatives that enhance employee engagement and well-being.
    • Act as a culture ambassador, promoting Scotiabank's values and fostering an environment of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • HR Program Execution & Advisory
    • Collaborate with CoEs to localize and implement enterprise-wide HR programs (e.g., compensation, performance, DEI, learning).
    • Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, organizational changes, and policy interpretation.
    • Support leaders through change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Leverage HR analytics and workforce data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and inform strategic decisions.
    • Monitor key HR metrics and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Operational Excellence & Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
    • Partner with HR Services to ensure seamless delivery of core HR processes and resolve escalated issues.
