Global Pre-Sales Engineering Operations Manager
Overview
Sales Engineering is looking for a Global Pre-Sales Engineering Operations Manager to build the operating backbone behind our worldwide Sales Engineering organization—the metrics, tooling, and processes that enable Sales Engineers to tell our full platform story with speed and consistency everywhere we do business. Reporting to the Global Pre-Sales Leader, you will support a 70+ person Sales Engineering organization spanning the Americas, EMEA, APAC, and MEA. Rather than managing Sales Engineers directly, you will own the KPIs, reporting cadences, demo and POV/POC infrastructure, and enablement systems that regional leaders and their teams depend on every day. You will standardize how pre-sales operates across regions, turn distributed data into decision-ready reporting, and act as the connective tissue between Field Sales Engineering, Product & Engineering, and Sales Operations. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong data instincts, and the ability to drive process adoption across a global team without direct authority.
What You'll Do
Define and maintain a standardized global operating model for pre-sales engineering, including POV/POC intake, qualification, execution, and close-out across regions
Partner with regional Sales Engineering leaders to identify and resolve coverage gaps, resourcing conflicts, process bottlenecks, and performance risks
Own and continuously improve demo readiness, scheduling, access governance, and enablement infrastructure across Email Security, Engage, Incydr, and GRC in partnership with Product & Engineering
Design, implement, and monitor global Sales Engineering KPIs, including POV Tech Win Rate, Time-to-POV-Kickoff SLA, SE Certification Coverage, and POV Cycle Time, with structured countermeasures when performance slips
Lead monthly operational reviews with regional leaders, translating trends and risks into agreed corrective actions and decision-ready reporting for Sales Engineering and executive leadership
Partner with Snowflake and Sales Operations to model Sales Engineering involvement across the deal cycle, improve tracking of POV starts, demo volume, and BDR-to-SE handoffs, and close data gaps
Identify and roll out tooling and process improvements that increase Sales Engineer productivity, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen adoption across the global field organization
Serve as the operational liaison between Field Sales Engineering and Product & Engineering, translating roadmap and launch-tiering changes into enablement needs and helping address risk from live claims or unverified positioning
Support certification tracking, Workday goal and approval workflows, headcount planning, capacity forecasting, org-chart maintenance, onboarding, and enablement programs
Maintain clear, versioned, and audit-ready documentation for Sales Engineering processes, POV governance, and certification standards in Confluence and Jira
What You'll Bring
Advanced experience leading pre-sales or Sales Engineering operations, revenue operations, or a related operational function within a technical, cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology environment
Demonstrated ability to build and run KPI programs, operational dashboards, and performance reporting for a distributed, multi-region organization
Strong analytical capability and hands-on proficiency with data and reporting platforms such as Snowflake, Salesforce, or equivalent tools, turning raw data into decision-ready insights
Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Sales Engineering, Product & Engineering, and Sales Operations without direct authority
Practical knowledge of pre-sales methodologies, including POV/POC frameworks and demo environment operations in a cybersecurity or SaaS context
A track record of process standardization, continuous improvement, and adoption in a dynamic, high-growth environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-level reporting and briefings
Working knowledge of Workday, Confluence, and Jira—or comparable systems—for goal tracking, documentation, and workflow governance
Cultural awareness and experience working effectively across multiple regions, languages, and time zones
Familiarity with AI tools, such as Claude, to support day-to-day work
A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or process-improvement certification, such as Lean Six Sigma, is a plus
The base salary range for this position is 132,000 - 198,000 USD plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role.
