Full Job Description
THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a highly capable and execution-focused Senior Manager, Strategic Programs & Sales Operations to support the Corporate Vice President of Global Systems Integrator (GSI) Partnerships. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic partner program leadership, sales operations, business planning, and cross-functional execution.

This role is ideal for a senior program or business operations leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, and can independently drive complex initiatives from concept to completion with minimal direction.

As a trusted operational partner to the CVP, you will help drive organizational cadence, lead strategic programs, build operational frameworks, develop executive-level communications, and ensure alignment across Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams. You will serve as a key connector across the organization-bringing data, insights, and execution rigor to help accelerate AMD's GSI strategy and growth.

This is not a traditional Chief of Staff role. Instead, this position is best suited for a builder and influencer who understands partnership ecosystems and combines strong program management discipline, sales operations expertise, business acumen, and executive communication skills to drive meaningful business outcomes.

THE PERSON:

Does this sound like you? We'd love to talk!

You are a highly organized, strategic, and proactive leader who excels at transforming ideas into scalable partner programs and operational execution. You are comfortable operating with ambiguity, influencing across teams, and driving progress with minimal oversight.

You bring:

  • Strong program and project leadership experience, with demonstrated success driving complex initiatives from ideation through execution
  • Deep understanding of partnership ecosystems including GSIs, ISVs, and/or Systems Integrators, with strong familiarity in software, applications, and solution-based business models
  • Deep experience in sales operations, business operations, strategic planning, or partner program management within large technology organizations
  • Builder mentality with the ability to create frameworks, processes, and operating models from scratch
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of partner and sales motions, pipeline management, and governance rhythms
  • Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions, and drive execution with minimal direction
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including executive presentation development and storytelling with data
  • Creative and analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
  • Strong listening skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Positive, action-oriented mindset with strong follow-through and accountability

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Program Leadership
  • Lead multiple high-priority strategic GSI partner programs from concept through execution, ensuring measurable business impact
  • Build scalable program frameworks, success metrics, governance models, and execution plans
  • Partner with leadership to identify strategic opportunities, operational gaps, and process improvement initiatives
  • Drive program accountability, milestone tracking, and executive visibility across initiatives

Sales Operations & Business Planning
  • Support partner sales cadence activities including pipeline reviews, governance calls, forecast discussions, and business planning sessions
  • Develop operational dashboards, metrics, and reporting to provide visibility into business performance
  • Analyze pipeline, partner, and program performance data to generate actionable business insights
  • Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to improve planning rigor, forecasting, and investment prioritization

Cross-Functional Execution
  • Act as a central connector across Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Business Units
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely execution of key deliverables
  • Facilitate operational decision-making by surfacing risks, dependencies, and recommendations
  • Help remove organizational blockers that slow execution

Executive Communications & Presentations
  • Create high-quality executive presentations, strategic business reviews, QBR materials, and internal communications
  • Translate complex data and business concepts into compelling, executive-ready narratives
  • Develop visually effective slides, dashboards, and documents that support decision-making
  • Support leadership messaging for internal and external audiences

AI & Operational Innovation
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and enhance business planning
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into reporting, presentation creation, data synthesis, and operational processes
  • Drive adoption of modern tools and automation that improve organizational efficiency and decision quality

Organizational Influence & Leadership Support
  • Serve as a trusted local operational partner and extension of the CVP in Austin
  • Build strong relationships across leadership and partner teams to improve collaboration and execution
  • Influence without direct authority by building trust, credibility, and alignment across the organization
  • Provide operational leverage that enables the CVP to focus on strategic priorities

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Program & Operations Leadership
  • Demonstrated success in senior program management, strategic operations, business operations, or sales operations roles with increasing scope and complexity
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders

Industry Experience
  • Experience working within partner ecosystems, including GSIs, ISVs, SIs, and/or strategic alliances
  • Strong experience in software, cloud, SaaS, consulting, or enterprise technology environments
  • Experience at companies such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, large software companies like Salesforce, ServiceNow etc., or large services companies like Accenture, Deloitte, EY, McKinsey, BCG, or similar highly matrixed software and services organizations preferred
  • Software or cloud backgrounds are strongly preferred; Semiconductor experience is not required

Sales & Partner Expertise
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales motions, partnerships, pipeline management, and governance cadences
  • Experience supporting partner ecosystems, alliance programs, or strategic business development initiatives preferred

Communication & Analytics

  • Strong ability to manipulate, analyze, and present complex data clearly
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools
