Full Job Description
The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture, to join our Information Technology organization, based in Toronto/Sudbury, ON.

This is a permanent, hybrid position, operating in a complex, global, and industrial environment, where enterprise IT, operational technology (OT), and industrial systems must work seamlessly together.

This role is execution-focused and works directly with operational sites, capital projects, and delivery teams. It is not a strategy-only or purely governance role-you will shape and deliver practical, resilient, and fit-for-purpose architectures that support how work truly happens across our business.

You will report to the Head - Governance and Architecture and act as a key technology partner to business leaders, engineering teams, cybersecurity, data & analytics, and operational stakeholders across the organization.

About You

You are a senior, hands-on architecture leader with deep experience in industrial or asset-intensive environments. You understand how enterprise platforms, industrial systems, and operational technologies intersect, and you are comfortable navigating complexity, safety-critical operations, and global delivery models.

You bring strong systems thinking, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority. You are respected for your ability to translate business and operational needs into architectures that are realistic, secure, and scalable.

In This Role, You Will

Enterprise & Business Process Architecture
  • Own and evolve end-to-end business process architectures aligned with the company's operating model
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks across processes that span corporate IT and operational environments
  • Ensure architecture reflects real site conditions, safety constraints, and regulatory requirements

IT, OT & Industrial Systems Architecture
  • Design how enterprise IT systems (ERP, EAM, Finance, HR), OT systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs), and industrial applications (MES, historians, LIMS) work together
  • Define pragmatic integration patterns, reference architectures, and interaction models
  • Ensure secure, reliable data flows from field systems to enterprise analytics and decision platforms

Site & Capital Project Engagement
  • Engage directly with mine sites, processing facilities, and operational teams
  • Embed within capital projects and modernization initiatives to influence design decisions early
  • Support OT modernization and brownfield integration while minimizing operational disruption

Architecture Delivery & Enablement
  • Produce practical architectural deliverables (system diagrams, integration designs, reference implementations)
  • Work closely with cybersecurity, data & analytics, automation, and ERP teams to co-design solutions
  • Support delivery teams throughout build, testing, commissioning, and transition to operations

Risk, Safety & Operational Resilience
  • Incorporate safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory considerations into architecture designs
  • Support segmentation, redundancy, fail-safe designs, and operational resilience across IT/OT boundaries

Continuous Improvement & Standardization
  • Identify recurring challenges and establish repeatable architectural patterns
  • Capture lessons learned from incidents and projects to continuously improve designs
  • Influence solution selection and procurement decisions aligned with target-state architecture.

Experience & Education:
  • 11-15 years of progressive experience in enterprise, solution, or systems architecture
  • Significant experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, utilities, or other asset-intensive environments
  • Proven experience designing and integrating IT, OT, and industrial systems
  • Experience working across global, distributed, and site-based teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • College Diploma considered with equivalent experience

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms (ERP, EAM, finance, supply chain, HR)
  • Working knowledge of OT systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) and industrial applications
  • Experience with IT/OT integration, industrial networking, data architectures, and cybersecurity principles
  • Ability to think end-to-end across business processes, systems, and data
  • Comfortable creating detailed architectural documentation and working hands-on with engineers and vendors
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills
  • Pragmatic, execution-oriented, and outcomes-focused mindset
  • Strong safety awareness and disciplined approach to risk management

What We Offer You
  • Competitive compensation including a variable annual incentive plan
  • Participation in a competitive Defined Contribution Pension package
  • Comprehensive benefits package (company paid core coverage, health and dental coverage, flex accounts, disability plans, and optional insurances)
  • Leave for all of life's reasons (vacation, personal, sick, parental)
  • Work culture dedicated to safety, diversity & inclusion, and career growth
  • Employee Family Assistance Program
  • Virtual Healthcare online
  • Online training and career development opportunities
