Full Job Description
We are seeking a Network Engineering Manager (People Leader) to manage and grow a network engineering team and to drive the operating cadence for the Network Services organization. You will set priorities across initiatives, establish clear standards and metrics, and provide executive-ready visibility into progress, risk, and outcomes. This leader will optimize processes and ensure Network Services delivers on agreed service levels through disciplined planning, documentation, and continuous improvement. 

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coach a network engineering team; set objectives, clarify ownership, and remove delivery roadblocks
  • Own the intake, prioritization, and documentation of Load Balancing and DDI initiatives; ensure requirements are clear, complete, and actionable
  • Lean on team members to map end-to-end workflows with an eye on customer experience; simplify handoffs and improve delivery predictability
  • Build, prioritize, and maintain the overall book of work for the team; specifically balancing operational work with strategic roadmap delivery
  • Run regularly cadenced standups and backlog grooming across multiple workstreams, drive prioritization decisions and delivery commitments.
  • Own and manage strategic vendor partnerships that ultimately support critical technical capabilities.
  • Establish and scale standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and a single source of truth for Network Services delivery
  • Define, implement, and drive adoption of operational metrics (e.g., throughput, cycle time, SLA attainment) and reporting
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to drive continuous improvement and reduce rework, defects, and delivery friction
  • Partner with Network Services leadership to shape near- and long-term capabilities, capacity plans, and service strategy
  • Lead and deliver additional cross-functional initiatives as business needs evolve
What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in product ownership and/or related work, including leading teams and driving delivery across stakeholders
  • Demonstrated people leadership (coaching, performance management, and team development), including leading teams that may be distributed
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to organize, influence, and align teams around shared priorities.
  • Strong executive communication, customer service mindset, time management, and problem determination/resolution skills
  • Advanced proficiency of Jira, Confluence and Sharepoint as well as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working closely with engineering organization to define applications and tools and manage them through the entire product life cycle
  • Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (“ITIL”)
  • Functional knowledge of project management tools;
  • Able to work with little direct supervision
  • Self-motivated, solutions oriented and pro-active.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment where team members may not be co-located
