Full Job Description
About the role

Snowflake's mission is to mobilize the world's data as the AI Data Cloud. Our AI & Developer products including CoCo for builders, CoWork for knowledge workers and well our developer tools like Notebooks, Streamlit, and App Runtime are how we put that mission into the daily workflows of developers and data teams.

We're looking for a senior Developer Relations leader to own how builders discover, adopt, and succeed with Snowflake's AI and Developer portfolio, and to build and lead a team of Developer Advocates doing that work. You'll set the developer point of view for an ambiguous, fast-moving product area, manage and grow a team of DAs, and stay technical enough to set the quality bar yourself.

What you'll do

Own the developer strategy for AI & Developer tools
  • Shape the developer point of view for complex, emerging product areas; anticipate where builders get stuck and align on the adoption path.
  • Connect market shifts, developer behavior, customer demand, and Snowflake strategy to influence product direction.
  • Maintain full awareness of the AI and Developer landscape and be the voice of the developer internally.
Set the technical and quality bar
  • Personally produce and review production-quality adoption assets reference apps, quickstarts, demos, deep-dive guides, talks that withstand customer, field, and launch scrutiny.
  • Establish reusable patterns and review systems that raise content quality and accuracy across the team.
Drive launches and reusable adoption systems
  • Lead multi-team launch adoption motions for priority AI & Developer products: define day-0 builder readiness, success metrics, dependencies, and follow-on adoption work.
  • Build durable adoption infrastructure such as repos, quickstarts, demos, workshops, field kits, docs patterns, playbooks, and discoverability across human channels, docs, search, AI assistants, community, and partners so wins compound instead of resetting each launch.
Close the loop between developers and product
  • Run durable developer-signal loops that synthesize community, field, support, docs, usage data, and launch learnings into product feedback.
  • Build developer signals as a first-class product input that changes the roadmap and adoption priorities.
Represent Snowflake in the ecosystem
  • Build and sustain Snowflake's credibility in strategic developer and open-source communities as a community member.
  • Enable your team and Snowflake engineers to participate credibly in these communities.

Lead and grow the team
  • Create clarity in ambiguity, define the work, surface tradeoffs, and make cross-functional execution easier across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Community and various field teams.
  • Set clear goals and operating rhythms; balance hands-on contribution with enabling your team to do their best work.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Developer Advocates; own hiring, performance, growth, and career development against the DevRel ladder.

What you'll bring
  • 10+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Developer Experience, or a closely related technical field, with a track record of driving measurable developer adoption.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing, mentoring, or formally leading technical/DevRel teams, with the judgment to hire and grow advocates.
  • Strong hands-on technical foundation: you can build and debug real demos and explain architecture tradeoffs to both builders and internal partners.
  • Working fluency with modern AI development: how LLMs work (prompting, grounding, evaluation), common patterns (RAG, tools/agents, function calling), and hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, OpenAI, Anthropic, OSS models).
  • Solid grounding in data and analytics workflows (SQL, ELT/ETL, dbt, orchestration) and empathy for the day-to-day realities of data and engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling able to turn complex AI and data concepts into clear narratives for technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership: influencing senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Field, and Marketing, and turning ambiguous work into executable plans.
  • Comfort defining outcome-based metrics and using data plus qualitative signals to prioritize, iterate, and decide what to stop doing.
Nice to have
  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with the Snowflake developer ecosystem, such as Notebooks, Streamlit, Cortex Agents, CoCo, CoWork etc.
  • Recognized community standing committer/maintainer role, foundation/governance participation, or a sustained presence in strategic developer communities.
  • A history of building reusable adoption systems (reference architectures, diagnostic tools, workshop programs) and communities
  • Prior experience as a software, data, or ML/AI engineer.
Why join
  • Shape how AI agents change the way data and engineering teams build, at a strategic inflection point for Snowflake.
  • High visibility: your team's work shows up in key narratives with top customers and senior leadership.
  • Build and lead a team in a greenfield, high-impact area with real ownership from day one.
  • Be part of a culture that values thoughtful craftsmanship, velocity, and customer obsession.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
