Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?As Senior Manager, Data Partnerships, you'll be supporting the external data strategies that power innovation and drive efficiency across Canada's leading bank, whilst maintaining compliance requirements.
Coordinating with Procurement, Lines of Business, and Technology to catalogue and leverage external data, you will work to manage vendor relationships, data cataloguing, and maintaining compliance while championing data's strategic value and shaping RBC's data culture. You will also ensure smooth execution of external data requests, data sharing agreement management, and compliance oversight for data sharing.
Educating stakeholders on data governance and data strategy, you will be positioned as a trusted advisor who elevates organizational data literacy.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Develop processes and procedures in relation to data acquisition and external data sharing
- Execute data acquisition and data sharing initiatives and vendor management
- Deliver data cataloguing activities for data acquisition and data sharing
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate internal stakeholders on data governance and best practices
- Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
- Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
- Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners..
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have: - Familiarity with data management and/or data governance concepts
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
- Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
