What is the opportunity?

Join RBC Global Asset Management as Senior Manager, Business Operations, supporting Canada Operations and the Global Operations Transformation Office in executing strategic initiatives aligned with GAM Canada Operations' objectives. Partner with senior operations leaders, technology leaders, and diverse stakeholders to drive business operations, improve team efficiency, and execute strategic priorities. You will serve as a business manager and strategic partner, focusing on performance management, operational excellence, and strategic execution.

What will you do?
  • Partner with Canada Operations leadership to shape and monitor strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting the development of business plans, technology roadmaps, and performance metrics
  • Develop, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), establishing a central reporting function to ensure information is transmitted efficiently and accurately across stakeholders
  • Oversee operational management including budgeting, headcount planning, resource allocation, and spend tracking against budgetary forecasts with regular variance analysis
  • Conduct diagnostic analyses, create financial models to assess ROI for strategic initiatives, and perform competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends and opportunities
  • Lead the communications strategy by crafting quarterly materials, building strategic presentations, and relaying annual/quarterly/monthly accomplishments and priorities to stakeholders
  • Track execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met and issues are escalated and resolved quickly while managing ad-hoc requests with agility
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the department
  • Champion a high-performance environment that encourages excellence, accountability, innovation, and inclusion where diverse perspectives are valued


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or consulting, preferably with large global organizations supporting Technology or Operations functions
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives in business management or senior program leadership capacity
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
  • Strong analytical mindset and AI competency with ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with highly developed relationship management capabilities to effectively manage relationships across GAM, partners, and external vendors


Nice to Have
  • Master's degree in finance, Technology, Business, or related field (MBA in Finance, Strategy, or Technology preferred)
  • AI certifications/competency and experience with emerging technologies
  • Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
