The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of the Culture and Performance portfolio globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

This global role will collaborate with strategic partners across the Bank including HR, Business Lines, Risk and Corporate Functions to design a best-in class culture program and deliver enterprise-wide culture initiatives that shape the employee experience at scale and foster a high-performance, values-driven culture across the Bank.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Lead enablement of enterprise strategy and delivery
    • Drive the development and implementation of bank-wide culture and performance initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and outcomes globally.
    • Design, build, and deliver communications and change management plans tailored to key stakeholder groups (e.g., Employees, People Managers, HRBPs).
    • Assess training needs and partner with the Learning team to develop relevant materials that influence mindsets and behaviors in support of a high-performance culture.
    • Lead annual culture portfolio activities, including reporting, advisory support, and enablement aligned with broader people initiatives (e.g., leadership, rewards, inclusion, well-being, performance).
  • Enable cross-enterprise alignment and drive continuous improvement
    • Build strong partnerships across HR and key corporate functions (e.g., Marketing, Risk, Communications, Audit, Compliance), as well as with senior leaders, to secure alignment, sponsorship, and successful integration of ScotiaBond into talent and business practices.
    • Foster a collaborative and adaptable environment, applying iterative and agile ways of working to continuously improve solutions, enable learning, and increase speed to impact.
  • Build a centre of expertise
    • Serve as a source of knowledge and insight on culture change and performance best practices, incorporating external benchmarking and industry perspectives to strengthen Scotiabank's approach.
    • Develop roadmaps for key employee journeys and moments that matter, aligning behavioural, systems, and process requirements to ensure culture initiatives are fully integrated and employee-centered.
  • Develop measurement to evaluate success
    • Leverage people data and employee listening insights to identify themes and trends and recommend actions that strengthen culture, employee experience and performance outcomes.
    • Establish metrics, reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and benchmarks to enable data-driven decision-making and inform action.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, culture transformation, or management consulting within a large, complex, global organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups, business lines, and geographies, including end-to-end change delivery.
  • Deep understanding of how to drive cultural, mindset, and behavioural shifts to enable a high-performance, values-based environment.
  • Strong project management and implementation skills, with the ability to execute effectively in complex environments.
  • Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans with defined, measurable outcomes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong awareness of leading ('best-in-class') practices, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently while influencing and aligning stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of agile principles and practices; experience embedding agile into enterprise processes and ways of working is considered an asset.
  • Project Management and/or Agile certification is considered a strong asset.
