What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Small Business Deposit Products is accountable for supporting the execution of Tangerine's Small Business deposits strategy and product roadmap. The role will help deliver a market-leading deposit product lineup across savings, chequing and related deposit solutions, ensuring products are commercially compelling, operationally executable, compliant, and aligned to the broader Small Business strategy.

The incumbent will act as a key product lead across strategy execution, product configuration, customer migration, campaign delivery, risk and regulatory readiness, and ongoing portfolio optimization. The role requires strong problem-solving, product expertise, competitive awareness, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Small Business, Technology, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Portfolio Analytics and Finance partners to deliver against growth, margin, customer and operational targets.

  • Small Business Deposit Product Strategy and Roadmap Execution
    • Support the execution of the Small Business deposit product roadmap, translating strategic priorities into actionable product requirements, launch plans and delivery milestones.
    • Contribute to the development and evolution of the Small Business deposit product lineup, including savings, chequing and future deposit-enabled propositions.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the Small Business strategy, target customer segments, product economics, value proposition and roadmap sequencing.
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen the deposit proposition through pricing, feature design, service model improvements, customer experience enhancements and competitive differentiation.
    • Partner closely with Small Business leadership and delivery teams to ensure product priorities are aligned to balance growth, revenue, margin, customer acquisition and retention objectives.


  • Product Delivery, Configuration and Platform Enablement
    • Support the configuration of new Small Business deposit products, offers and product parameters across platforms.
    • Work with Technology, Product, Operations and delivery partners to define product requirements, test scenarios, operational dependencies, decision points and launch readiness criteria.
    • Help translate product strategy into executable business rules, customer journeys, system configurations, operational processes and control requirements.
    • Identify implementation risks, product defects, operational issues and customer impacts, and drive resolution through appropriate governance and escalation channels.
    • Support product testing, issue triage, launch readiness and post-launch monitoring to ensure products are delivered with quality and stability.


  • Portfolio Management and Campaign Execution
    • Support the migration of existing Small Business customers from the current book to the new product suite, including cohort planning, customer treatment strategies, communications, operational readiness and performance tracking.
    • Partner with Marketing, Analytics, Operations and Small Business teams to plan and execute campaigns that drive acquisition, win-back, balance growth, retention and relationship deepening.
    • Monitor campaign performance, customer behaviour, balance trends, offer effectiveness and competitive response to identify optimization opportunities.
    • Support the development of customer segmentation, targeting criteria, offer constructs and test-and-learn approaches in partnership with Portfolio Analytics and Marketing.
    • Ensure campaigns and migration activities are executed in alignment with risk, legal, compliance, operational and customer experience requirements


  • Performance, Forecasting and Strategic Planning
    • Partner with Portfolio Analytics, Finance and Small Business leadership to support volume, balance, margin, revenue, customer and campaign forecasts for Small Business deposits.
    • Contribute to the annual strategic plan, forecast updates, business cases and scenario analyses by providing product-level assumptions, risks, opportunities and execution considerations.
    • Work closely with analytics partners, including the portfolio analytics team, to understand performance drivers, customer behaviour, product profitability and emerging trends.
    • Develop clear business narratives and recommendations that connect portfolio performance, competitive dynamics, customer behaviour and strategic roadmap decisions.
    • Track progress against strategic targets and identify opportunities to improve growth, balance quality, customer mix, margin performance and operational outcomes.


  • Risk, Regulatory and Operational Management
    • Support day-to-day product governance, operational execution and control activities for Small Business deposit products.
    • Ensure product strategies, campaigns, migrations and launch activities are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, procedures and risk appetite expectations.
    • Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, AML, Operations and Servicing teams to identify, assess and resolve product-related risks, issues and control gaps.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field or 7+ years product management experience with direct exposure to Deposits and related products
  • Master's Degree in Business an asset
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on product management, Small Business Deposit products, or deposit products
  • P&L management knowledge
  • Proven track record in developing and managing Small Business products, including experience with product lifecycle management and new product development
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in Small Business Banking, especially as they pertain to Chequing and Savings products
  • Analytical and strategic skills with experience in market research, competitive analysis, and financial modelling
  • Customer-centric mindset with experience in identifying customer needs and adapting products to enhance customer experience
  • Brings a big-picture perspective; has the ability to see how all the pieces fit together and contribute to the achievement of broader organizational goals
