Overview

As an Audit Senior Manager, you will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, work directly with clients and partners, review deliverables for quality, and support the development of staff whileidentifyingopportunities to add value across the client base.

Responsibilities

  • Plan engagements byestablishingclient contacts, confirming the scope of the mandate, coordinating inventory counts, and identifyingappropriate staffingrequirements.
  • Execute and review audit fieldwork
  • Execute engagements using sound audit methodologies and techniques
  • Ensure engagement queries are resolved clearly and ona timelybasis.
  • Ensure firm and professional quality standards are met on all client deliverables
  • Participate in and lead planning and closing meetings with clients,partnersand engagement teams
  • Identifyout-of-scope issues during fieldwork andassistpartners in obtaining client approval foradditionaltime and cost before extra charges are incurred.
  • Completemandatesin a timely mannerandwithin budget
  • Prepare WIP analysis and billings
  • Review corporate tax returns andidentifypotential tax planning possibilities
  • HST, EHT, WSIB: understand basic concepts (registration) & credit/input tax restrictions,andidentifypotential issues related to basic thresholds
  • Review personal tax returns
  • Foster andmaintaineffective working relationships withclients andcolleagues
  • Manage staff, including active participation in recruiting, scheduling,trainingand evaluating efforts
  • Act as a resource to colleagues in audit and in other departments
  • Identifyvalue add opportunities within the client base
  • Establish and foster productive relationships withCentresof Influence with a view to attracting new clients to thefirm

The salary range for this position is $127,000-$168,000, and employees may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Compensation complies with applicable pay transparency legislation and is regularly reviewed to stay market competitive. Salaries within the range reflect individual contributions and are based on objective factors such as internal equity, experience, education, role scope, and required skills
