At ecobee, the Senior National Account Manager is responsible for driving growth with key North American retail partners, with a strong focus on Walmart, Best Buy, and other strategic accounts. This role owns account strategy, joint business planning, sales performance, and executive-level customer relationships while partnering cross-functionally to deliver profitable growth across in-store and e-commerce channels.
Responsibilities- Own and grow strategic retail partnerships through account planning, sales execution, and joint business planning.
- Achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets through forecasting, performance management, and P&L ownership.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, trading terms, promotional investments, and service agreements.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations, and Training teams to execute account strategies and retail initiatives.
- Develop and deliver executive business reviews, insights, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage market, consumer, and POS data to shape assortment, pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
- Serve as a senior leader within the sales organization, mentoring team members and leading strategic projects.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of experience managing large omnichannel retail accounts in North America.
- Experience working with major consumer electronics retailers, preferably Walmart and/or Best Buy.
- Proven success developing and executing retail sales strategies that drive growth and market share.
- Strong background in account planning, forecasting, negotiation, and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Requirements- MBA or other advanced degree.
- 10+ years of sales experience managing top-tier retail accounts in the consumer electronics industry.
- Experience selling smart home, connected home, or adjacent technology products.
- Demonstrated success building executive-level partnerships and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
