Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional software development experience in enterprise web application development, with full-stack Java expertise and demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers.
- Experience building REST services supporting high-volume, highly available environments.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency in RESTful service design and implementation using Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, unit testing principles, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite strongly preferred: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Ability to support all phases of the SDLC, from requirements review through design, implementation, and full-spectrum testing (unit, functional, integration, end-to-end).
- Strong ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies independently.
- Proficient managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
- Proven ability to work independently while serving in a leadership capacity within a team.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve coding productivity, accelerate delivery, and maintain code quality; contractors are expected to actively leverage AI tooling as part of standard engineering practice from day one.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid model. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Spring Batch processing.
- Experience working in a highly regulated or financial services environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and demonstrated experience in Agile working environments.
- Ability to research, document, and maintain architecture, design, and environment documentation across production and non-production systems.
- Willingness to learn and contribute across the full technology stack, including documentation of new capabilities.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI and automation tooling, with a desire to explore how these capabilities can improve team efficiency and software quality.
Mandatory Skills: Spring Boot.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
