Full Job Description
What you'll do

We're looking for a strategic, execution-minded Senior Data Scientist to drive Docusign's new customer growth. Partnering closely with a cross-functional squad - including Growth Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Strategy & Ops, Brand, Engineering, and Customer Success - you will drive inbound demand and new customer acquisition by optimizing Al-driven discovery (AEO/GEO), inbound demand generation, performance marketing, and website conversion. You will lead strategic analyses and experimentations to discover, validate, and scale new ways to drive self-serve acquisition, expansion, and retention. You will build the measurement framework for how Docusign shows up in Al-driven discovery - tracking LLM share of voice, citation frequency, and sentiment - while connecting the dots from upstream acquisition signals to downstream revenue across both self-serve and sales-assisted motions. In this high-impact, hands-on position you will lead regular performance readouts, design and analyze end-to-end experiments, and deliver clear, compelling insights that help Docusign win in the Al-driven buying era. It's an ideal opportunity for a business-minded analytics leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, operates as an individual contributor, and wants to propel Docusign's growth trajectory to new heights. Our ideal candidate combines best-in-class analytical skills, a strong strategic mindset with a bias for execution, a passion for experimentation and continuous learning, and a proven record of turning data into business impact.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Growth Data Science Principal.

Responsibility
  • Set the analytics strategy and roadmap for the New Customer Acquisition space, aligning with company-wide growth objectives and steering high-impact initiatives
  • Define, build, and own the measurement framework for AEO/GEO - including LLM share of voice, citation frequency, sentiment scoring, and competitive positioning within Al response
  • Design, implement, and analyze experiments (A/B tests, causal inference) that inform product and GTM decisions and quantify business impact
  • Identify growth opportunities and risks proactively, using forecasting and scenario modeling to guide resource allocation and prioritization
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, data-backed recommendations for senior leadership, influencing strategic direction across Growth, Product, Marketing, Brand, Sales, and Customer Success
  • Provide regular reporting on key metrics to executive leadership, highlighting successes, identifying risks, and recommending proactive solutions
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, customer segmentation, attribution modeling, media mix analysis) to understand buyer behavior across Al-assisted, organic, and paid channels
  • Leverage Al-assisted tools to accelerate analysis cycles, automate reporting, and scale the team's analytical capacity

  • Experience using Al-assisted tools (e.g., LLM-based coding assistants, Al analytics platforms) to accelerate analysis and automate workflows
  • Experience distilling complex analytical findings into concise, actionable recommendations for executive audiences
  • Experience independently identifying growth opportunities and strategically influencing cross-functional teams

Preferred
  • Experience with SEO/AEO analytics, web analytics, or marketing attribution - particularly measuring organic and Al-driven traffic and its impact on pipeline
  • Familiarity with LLM/AI-driven discovery trends and how they reshape buyer behavior (AEO/GEO landscape)
  • Prior partnership with Growth Product Management or GTM leadership, influencing strategy through data-driven insights
  • Experience operating in hybrid self-serve / sales-assisted SaaS business models
  • MBA, MS, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics)
