Description:We are seeking a talented individual to join our
Government Human Service Consultant (GHSC) - Informatics team at
Mercer, a Marsh business. This role can be based in
Minneapolis, Atlanta, Phoenix, or Seattle and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Medicaid is a government-sponsored health insurance program in the United States designed to provide healthcare coverage to low-income individuals and families. As a consulting firm specializing in Medicaid, Mercer's GHSC team assists state governments in optimizing their Medicaid programs. Our team plays a vital role in managing and analyzing Medicaid claims data to enhance patient access to care, improve cost efficiency, and elevate the quality of services provided to these individuals.

Government Consulting Senior Analyst - Data, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced programmers, actuaries, and clinicians, contributing to meaningful projects that aim to positively impact the lives of individuals and families in need. Join us in making a difference!
We will count on you to:- Utilize a variety of programming languages (including Python, SQL, and SAS) to interpret and analyze large health care data sets
- Assist in the development of client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Gain an understanding of health care delivery systems, specifically government-sponsored health and welfare programs, such as Medicaid and Medicare
- Thrive and be motivated by an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools
- Work in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic consulting environment with colleagues across all organizational levels to meet and exceed client demands and deadlines
- Collaborate with a focused group of colleagues on smaller team based assignments with opportunities to participate in larger scale client and industry projects
What you need to have: - Bachelor's degree in related field
- At least 1 year of professional work experience with exposure to programming
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands

The applicable base salary range for this role is $54,000 to $108,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
