About the job you're consideringWe are seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer - API with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to design, build, and support scalable enterprise data platforms. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Your roleDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs on Google Cloud Platform.
Develop automated workflows and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
Implement best practices for data security, governance, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
Produce high-quality, reusable code and mentor team members on best practices.
Support testing, deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
Your skills and experienceRequired10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Data Engineering.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Strong experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and APIs.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and streaming architectures.
Experience with CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and Agile methodologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
PreferredExperience with Apigee, Python (FastAPI), Spark, Kafka, Vertex AI.
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $82,082 TO $193.440
