Program Summary

The Simplification Center of Excellence (CoE) is building enterprise capabilities that help teams create simpler, more effective, and more human-centered solutions for associates, members, patients, and providers. Joining this team means contributing directly to how the organization understands work today and builds better experiences for the future. The CoE develops shared tools, methods, and guidance that support teams from discovery through delivery, bringing together process insight, research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and impact assessment to improve both speed and quality of outcomes.



Within this environment, the platform serves as a critical process intelligence capability for understanding work, identifying opportunities for simplification, and enabling better operational and experience outcomes. This role provides operational engineering support, technical coordination, and platform enablement services that help ensure the successful adoption, reliability, and ongoing use of the Skan.AI ecosystem across the enterprise. The individual will be responsible for maintaining platform reliability, coordinating technical activities, supporting business onboarding, resolving operational issues, managing integrations, and driving technical follow-through across stakeholders, vendors, and enterprise technology teams. Success in this role requires a combination of engineering expertise, operational ownership, and proactive coordination to ensure business teams can effectively leverage process intelligence capabilities.



Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to serve as the primary operational support engineer and technical coordinator supporting our Process Intelligence platform and a key technology partner supporting the broader objectives of the Process Simplification Center of Excellence.



This role combines software engineering, platform operational support, systems integration, DevOps, and technical consulting responsibilities to help ensure the successful operation, enhancement, and adoption of our process intelligence ecosystem. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, security teams, and the vendor to support platform reliability, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain integrations, coordinate upgrades and enhancements, and onboard new business programs.



In addition to platform support responsibilities, this role will serve as a technical liaison for the Process Simplification CoE, helping teams navigate enterprise technology standards, architecture requirements, data integrations, security reviews, infrastructure processes, and other internal IT services needed to deliver process simplification solutions. The role will coordinate upgrades, enhancements, and business onboarding activities, work across multiple technology teams to accelerate delivery and remove technical roadblocks and drive technical and operational issues through resolution while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development experience together with expertise in cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and enterprise application support. Success in this role requires both hands-on technical skills, operational ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and vendor teams to drive issues and initiatives through completion.



This role serves as the primary technical support and coordination resource for the platform, partnering with platform owners, vendors, and enterprise technology teams to continuously improve process intelligence capabilities and enable successful simplification initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support and administration for the platform, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, monitoring, upgrades, and platform administration.
  • Build, maintain, and support integrations between and enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, infrastructure teams, security teams, and application teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements and drive activities through completion.
  • Support onboarding and enablement activities for new business areas adopting capabilities.
  • Serve as the technical coordinator for the Process Simplification CoE, helping teams navigate enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, data, and governance processes.
  • Facilitate technical reviews, intake activities, and cross-functional collaboration needed to deliver simplification initiatives.
  • Identify, escalate, and remove technical barriers that could impede implementation of process intelligence and simplification solutions.
  • Document technical designs, support procedures, integration patterns, and operational standards.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for platform optimization and expanded adoption.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards, security requirements, and operational support models.
  • Own day-to-day operational coordination for the platform, including stakeholder communications, issue tracking, dependency management, escalation, and resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or enterprise application support.
  • Experience designing and developing or supporting full-stack applications, integrations, and platform services.
  • Experience supporting operationally critical enterprise platforms and driving technical issues through resolution.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted or SaaS enterprise platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and containerized applications.
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, infrastructure troubleshooting, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams.


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience and understanding of the internal Humana IT processes, tech stack, and landscape.
  • Experience with , Celonis, or other process mining/process intelligence platforms.
  • Experience serving as a platform owner, technical lead, or primary support resource for an enterprise platform.
  • Azure cloud services.
  • Experience supporting highly available enterprise platforms.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
