Position OverviewWe are seeking a
Senior Frontend Engineer - React UI Architecture to join a Digital Asset Innovation development team supporting the modernization and digital transformation of asset and asset-servicing functions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting modern, responsive, and scalable user interfaces using
React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This role will work closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality web applications and interactive user experiences.
The position will also support modern technology initiatives involving
cloud platforms, distributed ledger technologies, machine learning, and other emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience as a UI Developer, Frontend Developer, Web Developer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and web design best practices.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, React Context, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of:
- Asynchronous programming
- Closures
- Event-driven programming
- Browser rendering behavior
- Frontend performance optimization
- Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders and frontend testing tools.
- Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, and/or Gulp.js.
- Experience developing responsive and user-friendly web applications.
- Ability to optimize applications for performance, speed, functionality, and scalability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based application deployment.
- Experience working with modern frontend architecture and scalable UI solutions.
- Experience collaborating with backend developers, UX/UI designers, HTML developers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or financial-services technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain modern, interactive user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop responsive and visually appealing web applications with a strong focus on usability and user experience.
- Define and implement scalable frontend/UI architecture and development standards.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and backend developers to translate business and technical requirements into effective frontend solutions.
- Implement state management using Redux, React Context, or comparable technologies.
- Optimize websites and applications for performance, responsiveness, load time, and overall functionality.
- Follow established coding standards, development best practices, and software engineering principles.
- Develop and maintain frontend prototypes to validate functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot application issues and work with technical teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Gather feedback from business users, clients, designers, and technical stakeholders to improve applications.
- Support application packaging, deployment, and CI/CD processes, including deployment to cloud platforms.
- Develop technical documentation, development guidelines, and knowledge-sharing materials for team members.
- Use analytical and performance-monitoring tools to evaluate application speed, load time, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
