As a
Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be a hands-on contributor within a product pod, building client-facing product experiences on our main platform. You will collaborate with technical leaders and the founding team to deliver new features. You will work closely with your colleagues to refactor and improve the codebase; create a beautiful, functional, and delightful user experience; and build an excellent and supportive engineering culture.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:- Build mobile-responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript, shipping high-quality code from day one.
- Own frontend architecture decisions, including component design, state management, and performance optimization.
- Set frontend engineering standards and mentor other engineers on best practices, code quality, and reusable component design.
- Partner with product designers to translate mockups into polished, accessible implementations, and give input on UI/UX feasibility earlier in the design process.
- Collaborate closely with a small team, including directly with the founders, to build both the product and the company.
- Adapt quickly to a fast-moving environment and shifting priorities.
Required Experience:- 5+ years building interfaces with React.
- Substantial experience working in Typescript, including in performance-critical or large-scale codebases.
- Experience with component libraries (such as Chakra UI).
- Working with authenticated backend APIs.
- Translating design mockups (e.g. Figma) into implementation.
- Working closely with product designers on feedback for UI/UX changes.
- Experience setting technical direction or mentoring other frontend engineers.
Preferred Experience:- Experience working with GraphQL APIs and Apollo Client is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with backend languages like Elixir highly preferred.
- Understanding of the ins and outs of frontend architecture and software design for developing performant and maintainable code.
