Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) has a rewarding opportunity for a
SeniorFlight Line Operations Manager (Level L) reporting to
Patuxent River, MD.
As a Flight Line Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of IAM represented Aviation Maintenance Professionals in preparing Navy carrier-based aircraft for ground and flight testing.
This position will be working 1st shiftand will require up to 25% of domestic travel.
Position Responsibilities Include:- Ensure that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery
- Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): - This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
- Experience working in a highly regulated maintenance environment where compliance with policies and procedures is essential
- Experience (military or commercial) in aircraft maintenance and Flight line operations
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% domestically
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance in a managerial or team lead role leading people and/or projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Bachelor degree or higher and/or equivalent military experience
- Experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems

Summary pay range: $154,700 - $209,300
