Department Overview

The McDonald's Corporate Controller Group's Accounting and Reporting group currently has an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Senior to join our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain an understanding of McDonald's Corporation and our global business.

Collaborative, team-oriented culture with expectations of the individual building strong relationships with our key customers. This position calls for an individual who is results-driven with strong organizational skills that can manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Our environment is fast-paced and going through change, requiring the candidate to be able to help drive efficiencies.

Duties

  • Serve as the main point of contact with the IDL Finance teams and subject matter expert on all Accounting topics related to the International Developmental Licensee segment for appropriate accounting treatment under US GAAP
  • Oversee the intercompany process and support monthly general ledger close processes
  • Prepare and present quarterly Accounts Receivable Aging analysis to Leadership
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly Internal Controls for SOX compliance
  • Support 10-Q/10-K reporting, including but not limited to the cash flow statement process, earnings release schedule preparation, and other financial statement analysis
  • Work with a team and contribute to applicable finance modernization projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of existing processes and propose enhancements and participate in ad hoc projects
  • Cultivate trusting relationships with our many global markets contacts and segment business unit partners


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and must have the initiative and ability to find efficiencies and execute solutions to improve processes
  • Ability to successfully navigate cross-functional teams and projects
  • Ability to effectively supervise, coach and develop others
  • Have the ability to balance the interests & demands of multiple stakeholders at once
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Results-driven individual
  • Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete daily tasks

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $85,014.00 - $106,267.00 per year
