Job DescriptionThe Enterprise Transmission Implementation Specialist (Senior) serves as a senior-level subject matter expert responsible for supporting U.S. Bank's file-based connectivity solutions and client connectivity lifecycle activities. This role provides strategic consultation to internal partners and external clients regarding file transmission onboarding, connectivity design, implementation, troubleshooting, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As a recognized technical leader, the Consultant drives complex client onboarding engagements, establishes best practices, develops operational procedures, mentors junior consultants, and serves as an escalation point for high-impact connectivity issues. The role balances client relationship management, technical expertise, process improvement, and organizational leadership while helping shape the direction of connectivity services.
This position is expected to influence operational strategy, improve onboarding efficiency, enhance client experiences, and contribute to the overall success and maturity of the Client Connectivity organization. The Consultant plays a key role in supporting file connectivity technologies including Sterling File Gateway (SFG), SFTP, and related transmission solutions.
Essential Functions- Serve as the senior subject matter expert for file connectivity solutions and client connectivity lifecycle management, including Sterling File Gateway (SFG), SFTP, and related transmission technologies, providing consultation and guidance to clients, business partners, and internal teams.
- Lead complex client onboarding engagements and oversee lifecycle activities for existing production transmissions, including enhancements, changes, migrations, maintenance, and optimization of client connectivity solutions.
- Analyze client requirements and recommend secure, scalable connectivity solutions, implementation approaches, and operational best practices.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex connectivity issues, production incidents, and client-impacting events, providing troubleshooting and resolution for advanced technical challenges.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance connectivity standards, procedures, implementation guidelines, workflows, and client-facing documentation to support consistent service delivery and operational excellence.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance client experience, increase operational efficiency, reduce risk, and support organizational objectives.
- Define, monitor, and report on operational metrics and key performance indicators, utilizing trend analysis and periodic audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with technology, operations, product, and business teams to support connectivity initiatives, lifecycle management strategies, platform enhancements, workflow automation, and strategic organizational priorities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to consultants across the organization, serving as a trusted resource for complex implementations, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
- Lead or contribute to large-scale projects and cross-functional initiatives requiring advanced technical expertise, stakeholder management, and organizational influence.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience - Eight or more years of professional experience supporting client-facing technical solutions, connectivity services, file transmission technologies, or related disciplines.
- Advanced experience supporting file-based connectivity solutions and transmission technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise with Sterling File Gateway (SFG), SFTP, and related connectivity platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve highly complex technical issues.
- Experience leading large, high-visibility initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to influence decisions across business and technology organizations without direct authority.
- Experience creating procedures, operational standards, workflow documentation, and client-facing materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ServiceNow.
- Experience serving as a technical lead within a file connectivity, integration, or client onboarding organization.
- Experience defining operational metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise file transmission platforms and secure connectivity services.
- Knowledge of encryption technologies, certificate management, secure communications, and transmission protocols.
- Experience driving process transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience mentoring team members and providing technical leadership within cross-functional organizations.
Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
