Senior EngineerBroomfield, COLos Angeles, CANew York City, NYHybrid Schedule (M/F remote, T/W/TH in-office)We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our SpringServe Ad Server team where you will work on a globally distributed ad serving system that handles hundreds of billions of requests a day. You have the opportunity to take on project initiatives to improve the delivery of our systems, tackle hard technical challenges, and contribute to a small team of passionate individuals.
As a Senior Software Engineer You Will:- Participate in the full-stack design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of a core product offering as it relates to a critical advertising server and buying platform
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
- Be a creative problem-solver able to design and implement reliable and maintainable solutions to challenging problems
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
- Write production-ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements
- Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad-hoc questions
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software
- Support operation of services in production
- Perform design and code reviews
We're looking for someone with:- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development
- Development experience in Java for back-end development with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
- A strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and an ability to recognize the business and technical trade-offs between different solutions
- Experience with agile development and CI tools like git, a build management system like Jenkins, and Jira
- Postgres or other Relational DB experience with SQL and Table design
- Ability to context switch and manage competing priorities
Nice to Have: - General Ad Technology experience, ideally with header bidding technologies in a production environment
In California, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000.
In Colorado, the base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000.
In New York, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000.
Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
