Responsibilities
Own Flight Control Laws development activities from requirements flown down, implementation up to integration and testing
Contribute to control architectures from high level needs and characteristics
Contribute to linear design - trimming and linearizing flight dynamics models, control laws synthesis and linear analyses
Contribute to nonlinear design and verification, and clearance testing
Actively work on improving processes, methods, and tools for flight control

Required Qualifications
BS / MS in Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
10+ years of professional experience in Flight Control Law development in fly-by-wire programs
Expert-level knowledge of fixed-wing handling qualities.
Industry experience with and understanding of aircraft electronic flight control systems.
Background in aerodynamics and flight dynamics (understand the physics you want to control).
Version Control and Requirements Management: experience with version control systems like Git and requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama. Ability to maintain traceability and manage complex datasets is crucial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface with senior leaders, partners, and suppliers with clarity and confidence.
Attention to Detail: a meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering artifacts.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Simulation and Modeling Tools: expertise in MATLAB/Simulink for control law modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Aircraft pilot license
Work Environment
This position is anticipated to be based primarily onsite at Radia's facility in Boulder, CO to facilitate close collaboration with engineering teams, program leadership, and certification personnel.
