Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Network Administrator to support our contract at PEO STRI in Orlando, FL.Location: Orlando, FL
Position Overview:The Sr. Network Administrator will assist with design, deployment, and troubleshooting layer 2 and layer 3 network equipment. This role will aid in strategic network initiatives, ensure high availability, security compliance and network uptime.
Job Duties:• Serve as the top-tier escalation point for complex network incidents and performance issues
• Assist with design, implementation, and optimization of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks
• Support the design of network architecture standards, best practices, and documentation
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, tools, and vendors
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and uptime
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with IT security to implement and enforce network security policies
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements
• Enforce and maintain network compliance by executing STIG remediation, implementing IAVM patches, and addressing cybersecurity CTOs
Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on network engineer experience in implementation, troubleshooting, and design
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
• Secret clearance
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
• Deep familiarity with Cisco and Palo Alto enterprise network equipment
• Strong knowledge of NGFWs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience with high-availability designs and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong working knowledge of DoD network compliance frameworks, with proven experience applying and verifying STIGs across enterprise network devices
• Familiarity with identifying, tracking, and remediating network vulnerabilities in accordance with IAVM notices and security directives
• Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP technology is a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineer experience in implementation, troubleshooting, and design
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Deep familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access controls, with specific hands-on experience managing and configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or 4 years of additional equivalent work experience)
- Clearable US Citizen that is able to pass a background investigation in order to obtain a federal security clearance, Interim Active Secret Clearance or higher is Required to Start.
- An IAT Level III Certification such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent is Required to Start.
