Job OverviewThe Senior Director, Finance - Car Wash Solutions is a senior enterprise finance leader who provides strategic financial leadership and serves as the primary finance business partner for Vontier Corporation's car wash solutions business, which sells under the name DRB Systems. DRB is a leading provider of technology-enabled software, point-of-sale, payment, tunnel control, workflow automation, and business management solutions for the North American car wash industry.
DRB operates across a portfolio of specialized platforms, including Patheon, SiteWatch, Washify, tunnel control solutions, payment processing, reporting and analytics, marketing tools, workforce management, and recurring membership/subscription capabilities. The business combines software, hardware-enabled technology, payments, services, and recurring revenue models to help car wash operators improve throughput, customer conversion, operational efficiency, and profitability.
This Senior Director role is accountable for shaping and executing the financial strategy for DRB, influencing enterprise-level decisions, and partnering with executive leadership to accelerate profitable growth, recurring revenue expansion, margin improvement, cash generation, and long-term value creation. The role provides leadership across financial planning and analysis, commercial execution, SaaS/subscription and payments economics, pricing, local cost management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, capital allocation, cash flow optimization, and governance, controls, and compliance.
The Senior Director, Finance reports functionally to the Convenience Retail CFO, with a dotted line to the DRB General Manager, and is expected to operate as a key member of the DRB senior leadership team.
Responsibilities- Shape and translate corporate and business vision into a multi-year financial strategy aligned with DRB's growth, profitability, cash flow, portfolio priorities, and value creation objectives.
- Serve as the senior finance business partner to the DRB General Manager and leadership team, providing executive-level financial counsel, strategic insights, and decision support.
- Lead financial planning and analysis across DRB's software, hardware, payments, services, and recurring revenue streams.
- Develop the annual operating plan in partnership with commercial, product, operations, technology, and functional leaders, aligning revenue targets, expense budgets, investment priorities, and margin objectives.
- Lead enterprise-quality forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, margin reviews, and financial performance management to drive accountability, informed decision-making, and measurable business outcomes.
- Define and monitor key value creation metrics, including recurring revenue growth, bookings, retention, gross margin, operating profit, cash flow, capital efficiency, customer profitability, payment economics, and return on investment.
- Partner with Sales, Product, R&D, Operations, and Customer Success leadership to evaluate growth investments, resource allocation, product roadmap priorities, operational efficiency improvements, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Support pricing strategy and commercial planning across software subscriptions, POS solutions, tunnel control, payments, services, hardware, and related offerings.
- Drive disciplined capital allocation across product development, technology, commercial expansion, customer support, and operational infrastructure.
- Provide financial oversight for order management, revenue forecasting, backlog management, bookings, and implementation timelines.
- Partner with Accounting, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure contract structures, billing terms, payment arrangements, and revenue recognition are compliant and commercially sound.
- Lead performance reporting and insights, providing timely and proactive analysis on monthly and quarterly results, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Improve operating performance through margin expansion, cost productivity, working capital optimization, and cash flow improvement initiatives.
- Manage local spending budgets and drive cost improvements while ensuring appropriate investment in strategic growth priorities.
- Monitor and improve cash flow metrics, including DSO, collections, billing efficiency, deferred revenue, working capital, and payment-related cash dynamics.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization with the leadership depth, analytical capability, business partnership mindset, and operating discipline required to support a complex, technology-enabled growth business.
- Strengthen finance processes, systems, controls, reporting cadence, and analytical capabilities to support scale, transparency, and business agility.
- Implement and utilize Vontier Business System tools to improve growth, profitability, execution, and operating discipline, including funnel management, key account management, strategic pricing analysis, regional/customer profitability analysis, and demand planning.
- Partner with leadership on headcount planning, resource deployment, productivity actions, and organizational investment decisions.
- Support M&A, integration, portfolio strategy, or strategic partnership evaluation as needed.
- Partner with audit & accounting teams to ensure strong governance, internal controls, compliance, and financial stewardship across DRB operations.
Required Skills:- Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles with demonstrated ownership of business unit financial strategy, executive partnership, team leadership, and enterprise-level performance outcomes, preferably within a technology-enabled business such as software, SaaS, payments, POS, vertical market software, or technology-enabled services.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with a General Manager, CFO, and senior leadership team on long-term strategy, operating performance, capital allocation, and value creation.
- Strong commercial finance experience, including pricing, bookings, revenue forecasting, sales productivity, customer profitability, and margin management.
- Experience managing financial performance in businesses with recurring revenue, subscription models, payments, hardware, services, or mixed revenue streams.
- Strong understanding of SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, including ARR, MRR, retention, churn, NRR, gross margin, CAC, LTV, and customer profitability.
- Experience with payment processing economics, POS systems, or transaction-based revenue models preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning capabilities.
- Proven ability to build KPI-driven performance management systems and executive-level reporting.
- Strong background in driving profitable growth, improving unit economics, optimizing cash flow, and supporting operational execution.
- Proven capability to build, lead, coach, and scale high-performing finance teams while establishing talent depth, succession capability, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash-flow management, and business performance reviews.
- Experience working with auditors, legal counsel, corporate finance teams, and regulatory or compliance stakeholders.
- Strong business judgment and ability to evaluate trade-offs between growth investment, profitability, risk, and cash generation.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior business, finance, and corporate stakeholders.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
- Finance, accounting, economics, business, or equivalent higher education degree.
- Experience supporting customer and supplier contract negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in vertical market software, POS technology, payments, automotive services, convenience retail, car wash, or other distributed site-based operating environments.
- Experience working in a multinational or complex corporate environment.
- Experience supporting private equity, corporate portfolio, or business transformation initiatives.

- MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced business or finance qualification.
