Director, Global Money Movement, you will spearhead the development, commercialization, and expansion of RBC's cross-border payment capabilities, including next generation capabilities. This role is pivotal in positioning RBC as a leader in Global Transactional Banking infrastructure, ensuring scalable, compliant, and client-centric solutions that integrate seamlessly across global markets. You'll balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver future-ready payment ecosystems while managing P&L accountability and regulatory compliance.
What will you do?- Lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of cross-border digital payment solutions.
- Lead the strategic development of a unified cross-border product integration roadmap that enables interoperability across multiple geographies and regulatory jurisdictions
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to optimization, for emerging payment solutions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with regional offices, compliance, technology, and operations teams.
- Conduct market segmentation and targeting analysis to align products with institutional client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Build robust financial models and business cases for multijurisdictional instant payment settlement, assessing competitive positioning and market demand.
- Establish KPIs and revenue targets aligned with digital currency adoption curves and profitability goals.
- Execute geography expansion strategies, prioritizing key markets with harmonized, compliant product offerings.
- Support the development of compliance frameworks for evolving regulations
- Collaborate with Technology, Sales, Risk Management, and external partners to optimize product delivery and market entry.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:- 8+ years in product management or strategy leadership within cross border payments, international payment standards or financial services.
- Proven expertise in cross-border payments, including regulatory compliance (AML/KYC, tokenization rules) and market expansion.
- Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership experience and ability to build business cases/financial models.
- Strategic influencing skills to align stakeholders and drive initiatives across global teams.
- Deep understanding of global transactional banking payment and settlement
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Global mindset with ability to navigate ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
Nice-to-have:- Certifications: ICB, CTP, AAP, or accounting credentials.
- Experience with wholesale/commercial banking clients in product management, sales, or segment strategy.
- Technical knowledge of payment network infrastructure (e.g., SWIFT, ACH) and cash management systems.
- Regulatory advocacy experience engaging with bodies like CPA, NACHA, or FedACH.
