Overview

Seismic is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Brand Strategy to define, evolve, and scale how our brand creates value with the world’s most important enterprises. This leader will help shape how customers understand our company’s role in solving their most complex business challenges — connecting our technology capabilities, industry expertise, and innovation agenda into a clear, differentiated market position.

This role requires a rare combination of brand strategy, enterprise storytelling, systems thinking, and deep customer domain expertise. The ideal candidate understands how large organizations make technology decisions and can translate complex platforms, products, and innovations into compelling narratives that resonate across business leaders, sales organizations, IT executives, and customer-facing teams.

The Senior Director will work closely with executive leadership, product, sales, customer success, marketing and creative teams to strengthen our position of trust with existing customers, deepen executive relationships, and expand brand relevance across new audiences and buying centers.

Who you are:
  • 15 + years of experience in brand strategy, strategic communications, customer strategy, enterprise marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven success developing brand strategies for complex businesses, technologies, or industries.
  • Exceptional ability to simplify sophisticated systems, products, and ideas into clear and influential narratives.
  • Experience engaging executive audiences and supporting enterprise sales organizations.
  • Strong understanding of B2B customer journeys, enterprise buying processes, and multi-stakeholder decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across large, matrixed organizations.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

  • Experience in enterprise software, cloud technology, AI, data platforms, or other complex technology environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is a strategic thinker, storyteller, and translator — someone who can connect technology capabilities to human and business outcomes. They are equally comfortable working with engineers, sales leaders, executives, and customers, and they understand that the strongest enterprise brands are built not only through awareness, but through trust, clarity, and measurable customer value.

  • Expand brand connection beyond traditional buyers into IT, operations, customer experience, and other enterprise functions.
  • Develop executive-level communication strategies that help customers understand the long-term value of the company’s platform and innovation roadmap.
  • Partner with sales and customer teams to create narratives that improve engagement with senior decision makers.

Complex Systems Communication

  • Simplify highly technical and interconnected solutions into clear value propositions.
  • Build frameworks that explain enterprise transformation, emerging technologies, AI adoption, and business impact.
  • Partner with product and technical experts to turn innovation into market understanding and customer confidence.
  • Create repeatable communication models that help global teams tell a consistent story.

Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Partner across marketing, sales, product, customer success, and creative teams to align brand strategy with business priorities.
  • Influence senior executives and stakeholders through data, customer insight, and strategic thinking.
