Full Job Description
The mission of the Senior Director, Data & Analytics is to build the data foundation and analytical engine that powers every major decision at Curology - from how we acquire and retain patients to how we deliver personalized, science-backed care at scale. Reporting to [TBD] (with the reporting structure expected to evolve as the organization continues to grow), this role owns Curology's data infrastructure, architecture, and customer data platform, and leads a team spanning analytics, experimentation, and data science to turn subscriber and clinical data into decisions the business can act on.

Success in this role means using peripheral vision to connect data strategy to broader business outcomes across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Clinical, and Finance, and translating ambiguous business questions into rigorous, testable models. The Senior Director thinks in systems, governance, experimentation, and enterprise decision-making - balancing an ambitious data roadmap with sound judgment about what the business actually needs to trust and act on.

Essential Functions and Impact Areas

Data Strategy & Architecture
  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy for Curology, aligning insights and models with enterprise-wide goals in growth, retention, patient care, and profitability.
  • Own and evolve the data stack, including pipelines, tooling, and architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and accessibility.
  • Guide the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure in collaboration with Engineering to prioritize performance, advanced analytics, and security.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and accessible data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics and self-serve needs.

Customer Data Platform & Personalization
  • Lead ongoing development and governance of the customer data platform, aligning platform capabilities with personalization, compliance, and marketing needs.
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models that support lifecycle marketing, personalization, retention optimization, and LTV forecasting.

Team Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a thought leader and culture carrier, promoting data fluency and analytical thinking across all levels of the company.

Experimentation & Decision Support
  • Advance experimentation capabilities by formalizing test-and-learn methodologies and driving rigor in experiment design, execution, and analysis.
  • Establish executive dashboards and KPI frameworks that provide visibility into business health and performance across key domains.
  • Understand and evaluate AI-generated data, ensuring model outputs are interpretable, accurate, and actionable for business decision-making across product, marketing, and patient experience.

Governance, Compliance & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Own efforts for data quality, governance, and PII compliance in coordination with Legal and Engineering to ensure integrity in both day-to-day decisions and long-term modeling.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to identify high-leverage opportunities and deliver analytics that inform strategic decisions.
  • Stay current on analytics innovation, AI/ML advancements, and industry benchmarks to evaluate tools and techniques that elevate our capabilities.

  • Deep experience in a high-growth, consumer-facing technology environment (DTC, ecommerce, healthtech, or subscription business preferred).
  • Proven ownership of modern data stack, including pipelines, orchestration, and data warehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Mastery of modern analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, dbt, Looker, Tableau).
  • Strong grasp of experimental design, cohort analysis, predictive modeling, attribution methodologies, and growth diagnostics.
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, comfortable building executive narratives and jumping into datasets when needed.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to translate complexity into clarity for non-technical audiences.
  • High integrity, low ego, and a builder's mindset. You are focused on what drives results for the business and the team.
