Full Job Description
Your mission is to own and support a wide range of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating master services agreements, scopes of work, vendor agreements, services contracts, SaaS agreements, and vehicle-leasing related contracts. You will be a trusted advisor to your business clients, counseling them on commercial contract, license, data, intellectual property, and privacy principles. You'll also support related programs as a critical team member, working closely with cross-functional colleagues to launch innovative products and partnerships.
You will report to: General Counsel
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, services contracts, and SaaS agreements
• Advising on contracts tied to fleet services, such as managed maintenance, titling and registration, home charging solutions, and park and charge solutions
• Supporting finance and leasing-related contracts for vehicles, charging infrastructure-related contracts (EPC, O&M, and lease agreements), and other related energy solutions
• Managing inbound contracting requests that arise unpredictably across the business and helping determine: (i) contract ownership and negotiation responsibility; (ii) whether Inspiration Mobility or the counterparty paper should be used; and (iii) appropriate risk allocation and commercial terms
• Collaborating closely with the General Counsel and Director of Legal Ops as part of a small but high-performing legal team
• Working cross-functionally with finance, operations, product, and business teams to keep deals moving efficiently
• Maintaining and updating internal legal templates and contracting playbooks
Who You Are:
• You have a JD from ABA accredited law school; bar admission and good standing in at least one U.S. state
• You have 5 to10 years of commercial legal experience in private practice, in-house and/or government
• You have a background supporting vehicle or equipment leasing; experience with fleet management and related services or fleet electrification initiatives strongly preferred
• You have strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, particularly in explaining complex legal concepts to non-legal counterparts
• You are able to spot issues, articulate paths forward, and demonstrate excellent judgment with a business-oriented mindset
• You are comfortable managing high contract volume in fast-paced environments and resource-lean legal teams
• You are able to "hit the ground running" with minimal ramp-up
• Experience with data privacy issues (e.g., telematics data implications) is a plus
• Our core values (see below) are part of your inherent DNA, and you have many examples of when you demonstrated these values in your career
Salary: $200,000 - $240,000 plus bonus eligibility
