Job Description
Evaluate and choose sources for production components/materials
Develop Long Term Agreements with suppliers as appropriate
Place purchase orders (via QAD EE) with suppliers
Manage pricing at aCorporatelevel for the plants
Identifyand execute cost savings opportunities
Support CSP facilities in resolution of supplier issues, lead negotiations as necessary
Interacting with CSP facilities and building strong relationships with the suppliers who support CSP plants
Work closely with Engineering to gain an understanding of program requirements / Coordinate Engineering Changes
Participates in program kickoff meetings. Works with Sales, Engineering, CSP plants personnel and supplier to ensure duties and timelines are met.Expeditesas necessary.
Participates in the development of new or enhanced Purchasing policy and procedures.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of independence and decision-making latitude is expected.
MayparticipateonSupplier Quality audits.
Responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are met.
Adhere to all CSP company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
BA/BS Degree isrequiredand concentration in business is preferred.
A minimum of ten years of automotive purchasing experience isrequired, preferably in the composites or metallics area.
Strong experience with QAD SE or EE ERP system.
Purchasing experience with chemicals, small components, wire harnesses, castingswould be a plus and is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of and compliance with IATF-16949 requirements and proceduresrequired
