Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for full-time Senior Digital Services Specialist, GG-2210-13 to work in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at JBSA in San Antonio-Lackland, TX.

Base Salary Range: $132,751 to $181,428

The primary purpose of the position is: To serve as a senior information technology (IT) specialist and technical expert within the HNCP Branch.

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for; you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

(NOTE: Typically, the 1-year probationary period is for Competitive Jobs, and 2-year trail period is for Excepted Jobs.)

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.

p>Qualifications/Requirements:

This is a designated Drug Testing Position.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

This position is Acquisition Category IT, Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after

accepting this position.

This position requires information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty he recipient of this additional duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties.

Advanced technical knowledge of software and other various digital technology systems (cyber, cloud, platform, data, and/or artificial intelligence).

Knowledge of technology systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed

new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure in the

database environment.

Knowledge of DoD and Air Force policies and procedures, guidelines, directives and techniques related to software and technology system platforms.

Ability to clearly and effectively discuss and present program objectives, managerial tasks, and technical information verbally and in writing to management and professional personnel at all levels within the DoD and

other government agencies within timelines prescribed by regulation or management.

Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements.

Ability to identify requirements for contracting and budget proposals for IT acquisitions.
