What you will be doing:

Tangerine is looking for a strategically minded Senior Digital Content Designer to shape clear, useful and trustworthy content across our next generation Digital Wealth products and experiences.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Experience, Wealth, the Senior Digital Content Designer will design and deliver content experiences that help clients understand, navigate and confidently engage with an expanding set of products, services and advice experiences across Tangerine Wealth digital channels. The role translates complex investment concepts, business requirements and regulatory considerations into simple, human and actionable client experiences.

Day to day, you will work closely with product designers, product owners, researchers, developers, analytics, Marketing, Advisors, Legal, Compliance and Wealth subject-matter experts. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and journey design through prototyping, delivery, measurement and continuous improvement. This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring strong craft, sound judgement, systems thinking and the ability to create clarity in a complex and regulated environment.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:
  • Content Design and Client Experience
    • Lead content design across end-to-end Wealth journeys, including discovery, onboarding, investing, advice, portfolio experiences, money movement, education, service and support.
    • Turn complex financial, technical, legal and regulatory information into content that is clear, concise, actionable and appropriate for the client context.
    • Design interface copy, information hierarchies, page structures, navigation labels, notifications, errors, empty states, forms, educational content and service communications as part of the overall experience.
    • Use plain language, progressive disclosure and behavioral insight to help clients make informed decisions without oversimplifying material information.
    • Ensure content is accessible, inclusive, consistent and aligned with Tangerine Wealth brand voice, terminology and experience principles across mobile, web and advisor-enabled touchpoints.
  • Discovery, Research and Measurement
    • Partner with Product Design and Research to identify client needs, content risks, comprehension barriers and opportunities before solutions are committed.
    • Plan or support content testing through interviews, usability testing, prototype validation, A/B testing and other evidence-based methods.
    • Use client feedback, digital analytics, search behavior, contact-centre insights and business outcomes to improve content after launch.
    • Define content hypotheses and success measures, and document decisions and learnings to support iteration.
  • Content Strategy, Systems and Governance
    • Establish scalable content standards, patterns, principles and reusable components for Digital Wealth.
    • Develop and maintain controlled terminology, naming conventions, message frameworks and content guidance for complex Wealth concepts.
    • Partner with Marketing and enterprise content teams to create a practical operating model that protects tone-of-voice consistency while preserving Wealth subject-matter accuracy and accountability.
    • Create content documentation and reusable patterns within the design system so product teams can work consistently and efficiently.
    • Help define content ownership, review and approval pathways across Product, Design, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders.
    • Identify duplication, inconsistency and content debt across journeys and recommend a prioritized path to remediation.
  • Collaboration and Influence
    • Work as an embedded member of cross-functional product squads, contributing content expertise from opportunity framing through release and post-launch review.
    • Partner closely with product designers so content, interaction and visual design are developed together rather than sequentially.
    • Facilitate content critiques, workshops and decision-making sessions that create alignment and move work forward.
    • Present content rationale and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, balancing client needs, business objectives, risk and delivery constraints.
    • Coach partners on content design practices and raise the standard of content craft across Digital Wealth.
    • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to designers and content contributors as the function grows.
  • Delivery and Risk Management
    • Create implementation-ready copy and content specifications, including states, variants, business rules and content acceptance criteria.
    • Work with Engineering and Quality Assurance to validate implemented experiences and resolve content defects before release.
    • Coordinate required reviews and approvals while challenging unnecessary complexity and keeping the client experience coherent.
    • Maintain version control and traceability for approved content where required.
    • Identify content-related conduct, comprehension, accessibility, privacy and reputational risks, and escalate them through appropriate governance channels.
  • Other
    • Championing a client- obsessed culture
    • Leveraging a growth mindset, embracing learning and continuous improvement
    • Contributing to a dynamic workplace fostering trust, integrity and inclusion
    • Removing obstacles to drive momentum across teams

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience working in empowered, cross-functional product teams and across the digital product development lifecycle.
  • Experience simplifying complex or regulated subject matter. Financial services, investing or Wealth Management experience is preferred.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and navigating review processes involving Legal, Compliance, Marketing or other control functions.
  • Advanced writing, editing, information architecture and content modelling skills for digital interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive content practices, including WCAG and plain-language principles.
  • Experience working in Figma and collaborative documentation or workflow tools. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and content management systems is an asset.

  • Understanding of responsive web and native mobile product development, design systems and agile delivery practices.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, virtual and live communication skills.
  • Strong systems thinking, editorial judgement and attention to detail.
  • Ability to move between strategic content problems and precise interface copy without losing sight of the end-to-end journey.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity, competing inputs and evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic, thorough, inclusive and results-oriented, with the ability and desire to help others thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Eager to mentor, teach, share and learn.
