ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics Enablement and Total Funds Solutions Delivery, the Senior Developer will be a key member of the solutions delivery team by contributing their expertise and support in various development phases for the solutions of diverse clients.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE


As a Senior Developer, Analytics Enablement and Total Fund Solutions Delivery, you will:

  • Design and develop highly scalable and reliable data pipelines and platforms to contribute to the delivery strategy

  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions using Snowflake and Databricks

  • Manage and participate in the evaluation and analysis of requests, such as change and/or evolution requests

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure maintainability and sustainability of products

  • Debug and troubleshoot issues and bugs to provide product evolution recommendations

  • Document and communicate your work and progress

  • Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in order to provide guidance to the team and improve existing products and efficiency

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in data engineering

  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks features and concepts such as warehouses, databases, roles, security, data sharing, performance tuning, and data engineering

  • Experience in using Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD tools

  • Experience in the financial industry and in monitoring industry development techniques and tools

  • Experience with web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Angular to contribute to the delivery strategy (asset)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and the ability to challenge the status quo

  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London, and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
