About the OpportunityAs part of the Deal Desk team, you will form strong bonds with your colleagues in Sales, Finance, Business Systems, and beyond to maximize revenue and facilitate a smoother sales cycle. In this role, you will assist with providing tactical support for deal structures, pricing/discounting, and approval processes, ensure adherence to the Corporate Bookings Policy, and help escalate critical matters. In this role, you will have a significant impact on Salsify's growth and retention strategies by delivering an excellent sales support experience.
How You'll Make an Impact (Main Areas of Focus):- Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Legal, and Finance to help accelerate the review and approval of complex orders.
- Act as consultant to sales team using historical knowledge of complex deal structuring and revenue recognition policies to help resolve problems seen during deal building and structuring, while helping meet customer needs, and maximize booking value for both the sales rep and company.
- Collaborate with Sales to build and manage quotes within Salesforce, applying internal policy expertise to ensure quotes align with internal policies, while helping Sales to meet customer needs and maximize revenue.
- Manage internal escalations for policy exceptions arising from the Sales team, and assist in developing creative solutions to reduce friction and risks during the sales process.
- Assist with cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the quote-to-cash process; identify and implement solutions that reduce friction and resolve systemic operational challenges within Salesforce.
You'll Enjoy This Role if You Have (Desired Skills/Competencies): - 7+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or similar roles
- Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM Teams and other cross-functional departments
- Excellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, professional, and open to feedback
- Understanding of enterprise SaaS businesses, and their operational metrics/processes, with experience working on complex deals across a multi-product portfolio
- Organized, customer-focused, and strong attention to details
- Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules and booking terms
- BA degree, preferably in an area such as Operations, Finance, Accounting, or Data/Analytics

The posted compensation range reflects the base salary for this position. In addition to base salary, some eligible roles may also have a commission plan or a bonus incentive.
