Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Datacenter Engineering-related occupation.
- Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Datacenter Engineering-related occupation.
- Position requires 3 years of experience in the following: Implementation of controls engineering, including control system programming; Building Management System (BMS) or Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) operation; Process improvement for critical infrastructure projects; Data center architecture and system design; and Application of engineering tools and analytical methods to verify system design requirements.

Position reports to the Google Midlothian, TX office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.
Responsibilities- Define system-level architecture and product strategy for next-generation data centers.
- Conduct engineering analysis and research innovative designs for data center equipment and facilities.
- Develop and document standard operating and maintenance procedures for critical systems.
- Implement process improvements across critical infrastructure projects to boost operational efficiency.
- Validate that all designs and installations meet specified cooling, structural, and performance requirements. Apply controls engineering principles to design and implement automated mission-critical systems.
