Full Job Description
ROLE SNAPSHOT
  • Pay: $97,000 to $120,000 annually
  • Location/Schedule: Remote, Full-Time
  • Purpose: Own the performance, reliability, security, and recoverability of a high-traffic PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server cloud environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own production performance across PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Diagnose and resolve execution plan, indexing, locking, blocking, and query performance issues.
  • Design and operate high availability, replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Lead zero-downtime schema changes and production database migrations.
  • Execute large-scale data migrations and backfills using safe, verifiable processes.
  • Maintain secure database access, encryption, auditing, and governance practices.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning processes.
  • Support reporting, analytics, and warehouse performance.
