About the role

As a Senior Data Scientist based in Alpharetta, Georgia, you will join the Strategic Operations team. You will use data science and machine learning to support business transformation and logistics and transportation initiatives. You will build a churn model and optimize route planning in real time. You will translate business needs into data-driven solutions and deliver insights that support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize machine learning models for real-time route planning and logistics
• Build a churn model and predictive models for business decision-making
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis and A/B testing
• Clean, preprocess and validate large datasets from multiple sources
• Present insights and support scalable model deployment, tools and dashboards

About you

You bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and curiosity when exploring data. You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can explain complex concepts through visualizations and reports. You work across functions to understand business needs and develop practical, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Data Scientist with relevant data science or machine learning projects
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years' programming experience with Spark, Python, R or Scala
• Strong understanding of statistics, data modeling and machine learning algorithms
• Experience with large datasets, visualization tools and MLOps practices

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

• Experience with SparkSQL, Fabric or Spark data frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure for model development and deployment
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar visualization tools
• Background with a Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning or related field
