Job Purpose:
The accounting Senior Corporate Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing and performing complex accounting activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the monthly close and financial reporting. This role leads key areas of the close process, reviews account reconciliations, and ensures compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. The Senior Corporate Operations Analyst supports financial analysis, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives, while mentoring junior staff and driving consistency in accounting practices. This role partners with finance and operational teams to enhance reporting quality and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Applies and interprets accounting policies; supports technical research and ensures consistent application.
- Oversee key project accounting activities, including review of costing, revenue recognition, and WIP accuracy.
- Leads key month-end close deliverables; reviews entries and reconciliations for accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepares and reviews financial reports and disclosures for compliance.
- Identifies and implements process improvements for efficiency and control.
- Applies GAAP and company policies to complex transactions; reviews reconciliations for compliance; supports audits and helps remediate control gaps.
- Ensure proper ERP usage and supports data integrity and system enhancements.
- Performs advanced analysis, investigates variances, and provides insights.
- Partners with finance and operations to improve reporting and operational alignment.
- Ensures adherence to controls; supports audit, tax, and risk mitigation.
- Guides junior staff, reviews work and supports development.
- Leads projects; coordinates with teams; drives execution and identifies efficiency improvements.

Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP with ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance to more complex transactions.
- Effective communication and organizational skills to lead processes and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
- Advanced ERP, MS Office applications, and Excel skills (e.g., complex formula and v-lookup functions, data analysis, reconciliations, reporting tools).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2-3 years progressive corporate and operations accounting experience. Construction industry preferred.
Salary range: $104,000 - $120,000
