Overview

Ardent Eagle Solutions is seeking a Program Manager (Senior Contract Specialist) to lead a team providing comprehensive acquisition and contract administration support to a federal customer. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contractor interface, providing program oversight while delivering senior-level cradle-to-grave contracting expertise across the acquisition lifecycle. This position requires a highly experienced acquisition professional capable of managing personnel, advising stakeholders, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, and supporting complex federal procurement actions.

Background

The Program Manager (Senior Contract Specialist) provides operational leadership and technical oversight for a team supporting federal acquisition activities. In addition to managing day-to-day contract performance, this position partners with Government Contracting Officers, program officials, and stakeholders to support acquisition planning, procurement execution, contract administration, and continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency policies, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for the Government, providing overall program leadership, contract oversight, and customer engagement.
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee contractor personnel supporting cradle-to-grave acquisition operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution of contract deliverables.
  • Manage workload distribution, staffing priorities, performance metrics, and quality assurance activities across the contract team.
  • Provide senior-level acquisition support for complex pre-award, award, and post-award procurement actions.
  • Advise Government stakeholders on acquisition strategies, procurement planning, market research, and applicable acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Review solicitation packages, acquisition documentation, contract modifications, negotiation memoranda, award documents, and procurement files for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support source selections by facilitating proposal evaluations, price analyses, negotiations, award documentation, and contractor communications.
  • Coordinate with servicing agencies, small business representatives, and Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) providers as required.
  • Oversee post-award administration activities, including contract modifications, option exercises, de-obligations, contract closeout activities, and electronic contract file management.
  • Attend customer meetings, respond to executive-level data calls, prepare program reports, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform senior contract specialist duties as necessary to support mission requirements and ensure successful contract performance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in federal program management, contracting, acquisition planning, or a combination thereof.
  • Demonstrated experience leading acquisition teams and managing cradle-to-grave federal procurement activities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), federal acquisition principles, and contract administration processes.
  • Experience supporting complex acquisition strategies, source selections, negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Strong leadership, customer relationship management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality acquisition support in a fast-paced federal environment.
  • Previous ICE (Integrated Contracts Expert) experience preferred.
Education

Requires BS/BA degree in related field is required.

Certification(s)

Current or previous FAC-C Certification (or civilian equivalent) required.

Compensation

Anticipated Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000 annually

 

Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Location and Work Hours

Work Location: Fully Remote (Headquartered in Atlanta, GA)

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Regular Business Hours
