Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Android TV / Media Streaming Test Engineer with strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities across Android TV and connected device ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Work on Android TV and media streaming device testing and debugging
• Analyze media playback, casting, and streaming-related issues
• Capture and analyze logs using adb logcat and adb shell commands
• Perform deep-level inspections and troubleshooting on Android TV devices
• Validate interactions between sender devices (Mobile/Chrome) and receiver devices (TV/Speakers)
• Work closely with hardware devices, cables, and lab setups for issue reproduction and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and QA teams
Required Skills
• Familiarity with the Android TV ecosystem
• Basic Linux command-line knowledge
• Understanding of media streaming concepts and network media flow
• Knowledge of HLS, DASH, and DRM is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with adb logcat and adb shell commands
• Understanding of sender and receiver communication architecture in casting/streaming environments
• Comfortable handling physical hardware devices and connectivity setups
