What you'll be doing

As Senior Consultant, Trading Credit Risk QA, you'll lead daily quality assurance activities and controls to help ensure the integrity of credit risk measures for capital markets products, while analyzing key drivers behind exposure changes. You'll partner closely with Risk Management and Technology teams to plan and support system enhancements that address evolving business and regulatory requirements. You'll also maintain and strengthen controls related to risk data integrity, complete ongoing data quality reviews, and help ensure new initiatives meet the standards needed to support business objectives. In addition, you'll lead and support the team's daily production activities and project work, while fostering cross-training and knowledge sharing to build strong backup support across the group.

How you'll succeed
  • Lead quality assurance activities - Oversee daily quality assurance procedures and controls that support the accuracy and integrity of trading credit risk measures for capital markets products.
  • Analyze risk data and exposures - Review changes in exposure and identify key drivers, trends, and issues to support informed decision-making and timely resolution.
  • Strengthen controls and data quality - Maintain and enhance controls related to risk data integrity, conduct ongoing data quality reviews, and help ensure processes meet internal standards and business needs.
  • Partner across teams - Collaborate with Risk Management and Technology partners to support system enhancements and process improvements aligned to business priorities and regulatory expectations.
  • Support team effectiveness - Coach team members in daily production activities and project delivery, while encouraging cross-training and knowledge sharing to build product and system expertise.


Who you are
  • You have strong capital markets and risk knowledge. You bring solid knowledge of financial markets, derivative products, valuation concepts, and trading floor activities and systems. You also understand risk management terminology and principles, and knowledge of credit risk processes and measures is an asset.
  • You're highly analytical. You're comfortable working with large and complex data sets, investigating issues, and identifying meaningful insights. You have experience using data analysis tools, including SQL and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • You're a strong communicator. You can translate detailed or technical information clearly and effectively for different audiences, and you build productive relationships across business and technology teams.
  • You're a certified professional. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation, or progress toward one, is considered an asset.
