Senior Cloud Developer
This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Job Description:
HPE is seeking a Cloud Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative cloud solutions that support mission-critical applications. This role impacts HPE's Cloud Services portfolio and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient delivery and integration of cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerized environments, with strong programming skills and leadership capabilities. The position requires a deep understanding of cloud technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor team members to drive technological innovation and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex cloud products and platforms, including architecture, coding, testing, and integration.
- Evaluate and review design, test plans, and code to ensure compliance with cloud standards and best practices.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.
- Represent the engineering team in technical forums; mentor and guide less-experienced team members.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and innovative solutions within projects.
- Analyze data processing and system issues to develop effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align technical strategies with business goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Typically, 6+ years of experience in cloud development, software engineering, or related disciplines.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
- Experience or familiarity with microservice architecture, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of multiple platform integrations and cloud-native design.
- Experience in testing methodologies, debugging, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams and drive innovation.
- Soft skills include leadership, teamwork, and effective communication.
- Technical expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and programming languages mentioned.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise software development practices.
