Job DescriptionThe Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will support clinical and translational research in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), focusing on early disease detection, biomarkers, prevention, precision medicine, and patient outcomes. The role involves collaboration with faculty, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Coordinate clinical and translational IBD research studies and protocols.
- Support IRB submissions, regulatory documentation, and study compliance.
- Assist with patient recruitment, informed consent, phenotyping, follow-up, and retention.
- Coordinate collection, processing, and tracking of clinical biospecimens.
- Collect, manage, clean, and quality-check clinical, laboratory, biomarker, and registry data.
- Support research on early IBD, high-risk populations, disease progression, and biomarkers.
- Assist with clinical trials, outcomes research, and precision medicine studies.
- Conduct descriptive analyses and support interpretation of clinical and research data.
- Contribute to presentations, abstracts, manuscripts, and research meetings.
- Develop independent research questions and projects under faculty mentorship.
- Performs other related duties.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in sciences, biology, biomedical sciences, public health, clinical research, epidemiology, or a related field. Masters degree preferred
- 5 years of clinical research
- Clinical, translational, or healthcare research experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and data-management skills.
- Familiarity with human-subjects research, IRB processes, informed consent, or research databases preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Interest in IBD, gastroenterology, biomarkers, precision medicine, or translational research.
